The Policy Group on Tradeswomen's Issues (PGTI) is a collaboration of individuals from a variety of disciplines committed to increasing women in the construction trades. PGTI leverages the diversity of members' professions to gain greater insight into how to best push enforcement of policies set forth to increase career women in the trades. The Advisory Committee on Apprenticeship, Education and Workforce Partnership Workgroup, and Under-Represented Populations Workgroup recently presented a white paper to the United States Department of Labor's Office of Apprenticeship that analyzes best practices and challenges, and provides recommendations for partnerships between Registered Apprenticeship programs and Community-Based Organizations.
